Done DoNE DONE! Holy Grail of 2007 Completed
I haven't had the mood to update this blog and as usual, the main reason being I've been too busy lately. But life's good, thank god for that! I had a fantastic dinner with Mel and Ray the Friday before last at Au Petit Salut and thanks to Mel for the generous treat! I love alfresco dining, especially over a nice bottle of Bordeaux or Burgundy wine or champagne...
My Holy Grail has arrived! Yippee! Although a little late, here are some pics of my goodies that had arrived last week ;-) Mommy almost flipped when packages from FedEx and DHL kept coming in! LOL.
Here are the BV heels that I was swooning all over in my last entry! They are totally TDF! I've been wearing them too much over the weekend :D NAP made them look quite terrible on photos but they really do look quite different in person. I've received compliments when I wore them heh.
And guess what came in the mail last Friday!
Ahhh! Tell me that I'm mad, I paid for the gift wrapping as early Christmas and Birthday presents to myself lol.

Navy Patent Jumbo with silver hardware
There was a slight issue with my jumbo due to paranoia. It had an extra thread coming out and I had to get it looked at. Brought it to the boutique the next day to get it checked and my SA told me I was just being paranoid and pulled out the thread. In actual fact, it was an extra stitch that went out of alignment. URGH! Not forgetting a thread that came loose from the inner flap of my reissue (only carried for the 5th time and that happened like omg really)! The amount of money spent on such quality bags, jeez. With all the price increases coming up yet the quality remains the same (or worst, imo), I must say I am disappointed with the house. This will be my last Chanel bags for quite a long time I guess...
And I received 2 pretty camelias from my SA while getting the bag looked at.
Besides my mail from Neiman Marcus, I also received a surprise package from Fedex!
From Saks 5th, my Nude Yoyos came to me so quickly that I couldn't believe my eyes! Totally psyched up.

Looks like I've got enough goodies for the year!
Now I'm gonna be a good girl and ban myself from shopping / spending money unnecessarily :-)

I can resist everything...
Except shoes (and possibly, bags). To me, shoes are like full stops. Full stops complete the entire sentence, like shoes, they complete the entire outfit. Some shoes are like exclamation marks instead of full stops. Shoes that are like full stops imo, most of the time are just blah. Typique. To create an impact just like the exclamation mark does, these shoes you see will most likely give off a 'wow' or TDF impact. You'll be thinking, "Man those shoes, damn, they're hot!"
So what's my point behind this whole entry?
A pair of shoes tells you the person's style... well, mostly. You can't go wrong with that, since shoes play a critical role in a person's appearance and style. They are accents to an outfit! You can have bad hair days, but bad shoe days? C'mon! I am so picky over the shoes (or mostly, heels) I wear that I rarely get bad shoes days, unless I'm really tired/sick/cranky that day.
Wow, no? I love the entire outfit / style, the coat's fab and fun for Fall (picture taken in Tuileries btw, paris moments sigh) and those Bottega Veneta patent gladiator heels! Swoons. So fab that I had to snag them up! ;-P

Yea yea yea, ban ban ban, before I even began my 'ban', I already broke it! Looks like it's just gonna be a 'bag ban' for me now, since I've got some stuff to get from Cruise :-)

Yummy 3am
I get pretty amused by myself sometimes, not that I am an amusing person to begin with, but some things I do (whether consciously or not) simply amaze me and others around me
really.
So...I just whipped up my supper, finished minestrone pasta and tomato salad within 10 minutes (or less I think) and then I wiped out a litre of Evian. Acks! At this rate I am going, I think my stomach is going topsy turvy. Or has it already? I mean, it had been throwing tantrums lately. Looks like I'm gonna pop a digestion pill later before I get another round of diarrhea attack tomorrow.
IMHO, I am the lousiest when it comes to food and shopping temptations - a great failure (in these fields only other than math and physics eeks), as much as I hate to admit. It's good to be true and honest to yourself though... lol.

9 Crimes And 10 Sins
I just woke up from a brief nap to recover my tremendous loss of energy aujourd'hui. It's been a busy day today with Mom and Sis (if you consider going to the salon, doing nails and being stuck in the hospital busy lol) Oh, my online stuff arrived this morning. Sis loves her new pair of MJs (which she has in white already but I got her the black since her white is horribly unsightly from over usage) but I am terribly upset with my Luella velvet pants, or trousers they call it. Am I really skinny (and be flattered for that lol) or the cutting just sucks? They looked so fab and slim cut on the model (errr shoot me for comparing myself with the model but quite misleading right)! Italian sizing is known to be slightly huge for me but omg, this pair of trousers... could just simply fall off my hips! Yikes and I hate to have my stuff altered, but sadly I do have a bag of clothes to be altered *draws up a mental list* and I guess it's time to make a trip down to the tailor's next week. I hope my pants can be rescued though, wish me luck :(
To make up for my sadness, I went to buy a Vanessa Bruno emerald dress and still managed to snag up free shipping (mind you, it's 31 pounds saved)! LOL. Needless to say, I have obviously been a bad girl and calling up the bank last night to check my total amount spent made my jaws drop. No wonder they say ignorance is bliss. Acks. Looks like I'm gonna be screwed big time, errr and not forgetting the 2 bags (no more clutch, now it's been upgraded to a jumbo flap lol) that are coming my way...
I am going to shut my eyes and cruise through Cruise, straight into Spring/Summer and hopefully by then, I'd be rich with a pot of gold awaiting for me at the end of the rainbow. lol. If not, I'd be sulking and pouting and buying Loubs instead of Chanels. Ahh! Now that's a good idea! To make up for a bag ban, I go on a Loub expansion plan! Now now, I know exactly what I want to get for this upcoming holiday season ;)

It must have been the germs at the hospital that caused my momentary insanity.

The Attack of the Skank
OMG, this stupid skank took more than a minute to open up and I had to refresh it FIVE times to get it opened. Never mind, I gave up when it refused to load after 20 seconds (I am using mozilla btw) and opened a new window specially to post a new entry, then it opened within 10 secs. Wtf, really. I don't know what's wrong! Urgh. Every time I decide to post, this skank has to pull stunts on me!

Another Case of the HCA

Hopeless Chanel Addict

So I decided to go out today on a gift hunting trip with a pure intent of 'getting a gift' for my Dad's upcoming birthday. And as naively as i thought, that's all - a hunt for a birthday present. Yea right! Instead of hunting for his present, I ended up sashaying into Miu Miu, Prada, Celine, blah blah and then Gucci, which I miraculously found the perfect gift - a chunky silver link bracelet with hexagon screw for Daddy. And thereafter, i went to Chanel, and that was it. The death of me. I ended up buying a 'present' (a necklace) for myself too. LOL.
Oh my, I just came to realisation when a friend asked me, "The present you bought for yourself, did it end up being more expensive than your dad's?" Lol. Oh well!
Okay, from today onwards, I'm going on a ban until I decide it's time to break it (the minimum time span of my ban this time will be at least 2 weeks) and reward myself.
