The Fashion World Will Go Topsy Turvy
I am in LOVE with my Mom's diamond ring, which she took out to show me... Not sure how many carats it is but it's huge and sparkling in an alluring pale pink color (ahhh the color is so much nicer than the other green one). Diamonds are found in the hottest point in this world, they are mined from kimberlite and lamproite volcanic pipes, which brought to the surface the diamond crystals from deep in the Earth where the high pressure and temperature enables the formation of the crystals.
That is why diamonds are said to be 'forever' because it can endure the hottest temperature in this world and can only be scratched by other diamonds. Ahh, although I am not able to afford one right now and not really into diamonds, I would be glad to inherit my Mom's anytime :D
Hopefully the best diamond in the world will be from the one I love, regardless of the size and color :)
......
The fashion world is going
mad.
Valentino has officially retired! He is my favorite designer. I love Valentino and I buy Valentino because of
HIS DESIGNS. So what am I supposed to do now that he has retired! Gucci went mad when Tom Ford left, Marc Jacobs is becoming I-don't-know-what-word-to-describe, and the house of Vuitton... *gasps*
I am going to get a dress from Valentino's last collection. This guy is a legend. No doubt about it.
Speaking of fashion, I received an invitation earlier today from Club 21 to the Mulberry party next Friday to celebrate the Julie Verhoeven for Mulberry Collection. I'm not a fan of Mulberry, but I think their patent Bayswater is pretty cute. That's if it is in electric purple or lime green, which I saw in the boutique in Hong Kong. My Mom thinks it's gonna be a waste of my time if I do attend, mainly because I am a Chanel person and she thinks Mulberry isn't my style. Oh well. We shall see.
I googled the collection and saw the collaboration. I don't really know what to say, but it looks pretty Chanel, doesn't it? The diamond quilted design and the gold chains? That doesn't look like it's from the house of Mulberry. It looks more like a collab for Chanel. It's really quite bold for Mulberry to come up with quirky designs (MJ does it all the time on the other hand), just like the previous Giles Deacon collaboration but I must say, I applaud their bold
sense of
style.
Watch out for the crazyyy fashion world!
